Although I have been there not for photographing, I want to share this project here, too. We went to the “Weißsee” at Austria in order to do some winching with Fredy von Osten and Nikki Gührs. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t our friend while been up on 2300m above sea-level. The only good day, was the arrival one. We had like 10 centimeters of fresh snow – at the end of July!!! – and the sun was shining. Here is one shitty mobile-cam-shot which quite nicely shows what it was like.

O’Neill Wake The Line 2011 was the biggest wakeboarding event I have been to by now. As I was asked to take photos for UNIT Parktech there, I spend some more days at Cologne. First day I attended some media-stuff with Daniel Grant and after that: took him to LA cablepark, which was probably the most important thing for this kid. ;) Anyway, it was fun. The shot below was taken while Dan was doing some riding on the kicker for the media, whilst the building of the rails and stuff was going on.

Last May the second Wakeskate Trash took place at Thulba Cablepark. I went there in order to see some of my wakeskating friends and perhaps get also on the water. In the afternoon, Kai Kissmann and Dennis Knasiak decided, that we need to go winching…as there is a relaxed spot close to Thulba, we moved there. Unfortunately we didn’t get to much shots because of an upcoming storm. My favorite is the lighttest, though…

It’s been again quite a while since my last post. The summer season was a busy one, but now there is time for a little recap. I will try to write some posts within the following days or weeks about my personal summer in photos and of course wake-season highlights. Lets start chronological with my first event of this year: TurnOn Thannhausen. Of course nothing special about those pictures taken there, but my second helicopter flight! Good memories though…

The last weekend of march I joined my last stop of this years Chill And Destroy Tour. We had a sick park and setup, but unfortunately were unlucky with the weather. It started just perfect in the early morning and went out with big snowflakes just after midday so we even couldn’t run the finals.

Some two weeks ago I attended the first stop of this years Chill And Destroy Slopestyle Tour. As Arosa has been host for the final within the last seasons, it was this time place for the 1st stop. The setup was nice as expected, but unfortunately the big kicker which was built just for the contest couldn’t get into the scoring due to extremely windy conditions. Anyway a good competition!

Another year passed and we had again a super successful season for our German Wakeboarders. And now it’s time to vote for this years Rider Of The Year! mag71 and thegapmagazin.com just started the voting and I’m quite happy, that one of my pictures made it to get printed on those ROTY flyers and posters as well as being spread in the Internet. As in former years the acting ROTY is seen in on the flyer: last year Dominik Guehrs took the win and so he made it to print for 2010. Here is the final version…

This week began with a small selection of a shooting I did this summer and it should end with another one. Searching for a picture of Lukas Suess, for his thegapmagazin.com interview just some days ago, I found a selection, which I hadn’t published yet, because some magazines weren’t sure, if they want to use some of those shots. As they didn’t I can show those to you, now! So here is the shot of Luki, you might already have seen in his interview.

As winter is approaching faster than expected, or at least the temperatures are not that cozy anymore, I had to end my season some weeks ago. The last cable shooting took place at Turncable Thannhausen, where this years Ropebash by Wakeboarder Europe Magazine took place. I was happy to be invited again and attended for some days. We had some nice setups for shooting, but the pictures can’t be shown by now. Maybe you’ll see some of them, taken by me or some of the other photogs in upcoming ads or magazines?! We’ll see.

But as I was cleaning up my harddisk, I found the shots of a shooting earlier this year, also at Thannhausen. Those shots were taken when Marvin Kalter and me were spending some days of nice shredding and shooting at this incredible cable spot! This shot of Marvin in this kitschy sunset was printed in Alliance Wake UK. I kinda like it.

Some weeks ago, a friend of mine celebrated his wedding. As the weather was perfect it was a pleasure for all of us, to party with Jane and Patrick. The location for the afternoon and the evening was a former castle. A good decision for such an event. In the end the day went out perfect for all of us.

As Patrick wanted me not only to be a guest, but also to do the photo-documentation of the wedding, I had quite a tough day, though. As it was my first – or maybe 1.5s’ – wedding as a photographer, I didn’t know what to expect.  I hope, that Jane & Patrick are happy with my work and will always remember a wonderful day, while looking at the photos.

Ha, my name is!
